The standard can be used by all organisations within the events industry regardless of their role or responsibility in an event, or whether or not their core business is event management.
The Standard is relevant for:
- Clients responsible for commissioning an event
- Organisers (organisations or individuals) responsible for the overall management and co-ordination of the event
- Suppliers - within their own individual sphere of control whether the organisation responsible for the overall management and co-ordination of the event complies or not
To date the standard has been taken up by event organisers, venues and convention centres, hotels, production and design companies, caterers, security, audio visual and logistics companies.
